Normanton Practice

I have been a GP in Normanton since 1990 to 2008.I retired due to ill health.During the years of practice I have found out that to be a good GP and to be helpfull to the patients all you need is a pleasent personality and understanding of the problems that your patient have.I have never patronised any of my patient and truely tried to help my patients,which make me a very popular doctor in Normanton.I started with 1500 patients when I took over the practice from my senior partner Dr M.S.He retired due to ill health in 1993. but when I left the practice in 2007 there are 3000 patients registered in my practice.I have sold my practice to a group of doctors but they had messed it up and now they have only half of the patients left in the surgery.The patients are unhappy with the new doctors and new management and they have all move to other neighbouring practices in Normanton. Still a lot of my patients who knows my phone number or email still contact me and seek advise whether the treatment they are getting from the new doctors are right for them.Ihad to admit I dont know everything but what I know I know well. Even when I am retired Iam recieving many phone calls and email from my patients for medical advise.
