Hi folks, I am a retired general practitioner. For nearly 20 years I practiced single handedly in a small suburban town called Normanton in West Yorkshire. In 2008 I retired after suffering a cerebral hemorrhage brought on by stress. I decided that the time was right to retire and I am now a man of leisure enjoying life to the full. No more getting up early in the morning to get to surgery by 8.30 am and finishing at 6.30pm if Iam lucky.
The following chapters are a factual account of my life as a GP in Normanton. In order to observe confidentiality I have not mentioned the real names of any persons but the events that happened are true.
I welcome your comments on my posts and thank you for subscribing.
